Would I Benefit From Fat Grafting?

What is Fat Grafting?
While injectable fillers are temporary, fat transfer can sometimes offer longer lasting results.
Fat grafting can address hollowness between the upper eyelids and brows and in the cheeks; nasolabial folds; mid-face sagging; thinning lips with lines around the mouth; and a jawline that has lost its definition. Fat grafting, using your own body fat, can restore a fresh, youthfulness to the face that can endure for years. When this procedure is done correctly by a Board-Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon like Dr. Kaplan, the results can be excellent.
Using his safe, reliable technique, Dr.Kaplan will harvest fat from your abdomen, inner thighs or hips and then (after it is treated) inject it into the areas of concern. Because of the advanced and reliable technique he uses, a significant number of these fat cells will survive and graft to fill in the areas of treatment.

Anesthesia
Dr. Kaplan generally performs fat grafting using IV Sedation or local anesthesia. All surgery is performed on an outpatient basis in our state-of-the-art AAAHC certified operating room suite, complete with all of the required monitoring, anesthesia delivery and emergency equipment. Dr. Kaplan makes every effort to ensure your complete safety and comfort during surgery. Anesthesia will be discussed during your pre-operative appointment.
After Your Fat Grafting Procedure
Tenderness and swelling is normal and to be expected. It resolves itself in approximately 10 days, leaving you with wonderful, long-lasting results.
